Resume

My sculptures, primitive visual symbols of like-totems and early calligraphic signs are in pursuit of abstract and pure sense of beauty.
The world of ying and yang has always been present in my life and in my work. I am in a permanent search of balance. This pursuit has accelerated in the recent years because I have kept some emotions and dispositions from my childhood yet I have gained some others from my adulthood. I am curious and impetuous as a child even though I am also sometimes experienced and serene. I am broad minded, ambitious and passionate as in my early youth yet mild, peaceful and almost hermitical as a man. Neither confined by concepts nor happily conformed to existing rules. I set elevated goals for myself while keeping sedate and in a peaceful somewhat meditative state while working. Although people say my work is good, I believe one is constantly changing, so each new work is a fresh beginning nourished by my travels and readings which I try to constantly do.

In times of turbulence and everlasting changes, I stay calm and confident, emotions that have permeated to my work.

I am always looking for simpler ways to express myself. The lines are of a great importance to my work, they help me to develop a special language. Lines are simple and unpretentious. They conjure up concise and intangible configurations, tempering force with grace in handling dimension, rhythm and spatial melodies with ease.
