We are fortunate to have some incredibly creative and experienced people at our gallery.
Our artistic liaison is also our anchor artist, Yizhou. He has maintained a studio at M 50 for over 5 years and seen many transitions in the area. He has cultivated many artistic relationships and been recognized throughout China as an artist to watch for the future. Overseeing the overall Gallery organization and recent renovation is ST Choong. Mr. Choong has over 15 years of management and technical experience in China at several multi national corporations in the automotive, EMS and computer industries. He brings strong people skills and expertise to help the gallery operate efficiently and ethically.
Daniel Bader is an owner of the gallery and director. He has over 20 years of extensive experience in European and Old Masters paintings. Through his familie's gallery, he has consulted and been directly involved with the acquisition/sale of several Rembrandts and Ruebens paintings to individual collectors and museums throughout the world. This is just a sampling of a few of the artists Mr. Bader has represented.
Mr. Bader has interests in several companies as diverse as chemical and technology. He also is the President of the Helen Bader Foundation which donates to hundreds of worthy organizations globally.
Daniel Armbrust is also an owner and managing director of the gallery. He has over 25 years of collecting experience having purchased his first piece of artwork for $150 at an art fair when he was 18. Over the years his collection has grown to include contemporary and modern American artist as well as contemporary Chinese artworks. This passion and love of the arts motivated Mr. Armbrust to open the Smart gallery and share his vision with other collectors. He is also an accomplished entrepreneur having started or purchased a wide range of companies in the technology, education, golf, and auto industries. He very much relates to artists and the artistic process likening being an entrepreneur to being an artist by creating something out of nothing but an idea.
